as associate professor, he completed his
Ph.D. in international tax matters in 1979.
In 1980 he became a qualified tax consultant
in Germany. After various consulting
and industrial appointments, he became
the Group Tax Officer of the ABB Group,
headquartered in Zurich, in 1988. Since
2003 he heads as Deputy CFO the Group
Function Finance and Taxes at ABB Ltd. Mr.
Storck is a member of the Tax Committee
of the Business and Industry Advisory
Council (BIAC) at the OECD and the Fiscal
Affairs Working Group of UNICE.

into the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance,
since 2008 Deputy Head of the Tax Policy
Department, responsible - among others -
for Constitutional and European Law issues
and procedures.
Ben Terra (1947)
studied international
law at the University
of Amsterdam and
(indirect) taxation at
the University of Leyden.
He has written a
thesis on 'VAT on cross-border transactions'.
Ben was head of the post-graduate training
in VAT, customs and excises at the Ministry
of Finance in the Hague, professor of law at
the University of Leyden and visiting professor
at the Universities of Florida in Gainesville, of
Sydney in Australia, the Gmimo University in
Moscow and the Anton the Kam University in
Surinam. Until 2003 he was head of the E&Y
global indirect tax practice. In 2007 he became
doctor economiae honoris causa at the University
of Lund in Sweden. At present he is professor
of law at the Universities of Amsterdam, the
Netherlands and Lund in Sweden.

of s'Hertogenbosch (Netherlands). He was
senior researcher at the IBFD, editor of the
VAT monitior and ad hoc consultant to the
UN Economic Commission for Africa, the
UN Centre for Transnational Corporations
and the IBFD task force on China.

Deutsche Bank, and Siemens. A Doctor of
Jurisprudence and Honorary University Professor,
he speaks frequently at educational
institutions and leading international client
conferences on a range of topics.
