Prof. Michael Lang is the academic director of the program. As head of the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law at WU, he is aware of the steps required to achieve a high academic standard and a high degree of practical relevance in education. The underlying concept for this LL.M. program was developed by Prof. Lang and his colleagues at the Institute in close cooperation with the Akademie der Steuerberater:innen und Wirtschaftsprüfer:innen (ASW).
The Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law is the largest university-based institution in tax law worldwide. As well as carrying out research and teaching activities at WU, the Institute is involved in many national and international research projects.
